A little bit surprised of no comments about this man here in recent weeks.

He looks a great leader for Bolivia,
he is now in Spain after visiting Cuba and Venezuela.

I am really impressed with him, and his leadership, the economic problems of this south american country will dissapaer soon if he applies his ecnomic politic..........

It is no surprise that this has happened - after Chavez and da Silva South America is turning left . Perhaps they have had enough of right wing dictators like Pinochet, Galtieri and Fujimori

That's democracy for you suny

It is great that the indigenous people are finally getting a proper say in the running of their country, for the first time since independence.

After all Pizarro and his fellow Spaniards completely fucked up the country.

great?
A man with studies until 14yo ruling the countrie?

with a marxims and populism ideoly with th electoral campaign paid by Castro and Chavez.

He intend not to mantein the private property.......

In this way the continent will be poorer than Africa soon.

About the Pizarros comment........very funny
We should compesate them for what happened 500 years ago.

About Pinochet
Not one of my favorites but be sure of some points:
He killed in all his year less people than Castro in one year.
Have a look of how his country is now after him and look at the rest of the countries in that area.

I know there are people like you who prefers the democracy of Castro or Chavez but wait some years and have a look of what is going to happen with these 2 countries and also with Bolivia.

Then they will tell us Bush is the guilty of all their problems...... :D

I doubt the US should lecture Cuba on human rights - as they use a part of Cuba to run a concentration and torture camp

Yes
Castro should teach USA what democracy is.......

This antiamericanism reminds to the film of Brians Life when they are talking about Rome.

He killed in all his year less people than Castro in one year.

That's a rather weak justification for killing people. In any case I|doubt very much that it's true.

Like it or not, us Europeans are responsible for fucking up practically every other continent.
That's a bit strong.

India has more universities than any other country in the world. Why? (The fact that they're shit is besides the point).

Hands up all those who think that Zimbabwe would be in a better state now if Cecil hadn't conned Lobengula into giving up his land? Although I suppose Mugabe wouldn't be in power, cause his grandparents would have been slaughtered.

The USA? Can we really blame Europe for the society which has prevailed since? If they had left it all to the Native Americans would there really have been no trade, no influences at all which could have corrupted? And is the corruptor in that instance to blame, or the corruptee for allowing themselves to become corrupted?

Australia? Fair enough, I'll admit that we created a country populated by crims, a bit like Liverpool say, but they don't seem to be doing too badly. Although you'll know better than me about that. (The Native American argument applies to this one too).

What would you rather? That we had cut off all contact whatsoever with and refused to explore on the grounds that we might knacker them?

Wrong.

It should be "we Europeans are responsible etc...."

I share your doubts . In any event , it is often argued that Mao killed more than Stalin who killed more than Hitler . Hardly a recommendation for the latter that he murdered seven or eight million h:)

It is not a Dutch auction - in any event it does not undermine my point .

Many dictators conceal the number they have murdered - Franco and Saddam Hussein being prime examples .

That was my understanding. For example doesn't some new evidence suggest that a lot of those who died on the Long March were deliberately killed
