Fairyhouse Easter Meeting

Casey admits his pride and joy will encounter faster conditions than he has so far this season when he lines up at the weekend, but after walking the course himself, he believes it will not be an issue.

"He's all ready to go. I went to look at the ground the other day and they've done a great job with it," said the trainer.

"They've been watering, obviously, but it's lovely safe ground. It will be the quickest our horse has run on this season, but I'm sure he'll be all right. We want to find out how he handles better ground.

"This has been his main objective all season, so hopefully everything goes according to plan. If all does go well, this will be his last run of the season and we'll put him out in the field for the summer.

"I did enter him in a couple of races at Punchestown, but the only way he'd be going there was if something went wrong on Sunday."

Wouldn't oppose Groody Hill in the Nash, looks nailed on for a big run fellas.

He's still double digit odds wihch is more than fair: Not rocket science but I could see him going off a bit shorter with a strong winning chance to boot.

Fantastic horse, given a great campaign and really look forward to him next year....Brilliant

He'll be very hard to beat next year. The form of the race has a very solid look to it. He was our best novice going into the race and absolutely no doubt that he is now.

Like the fact that the owner turned down a fortune for a half share because the buyer wanted to move stables. Loyalty like that is rare these days.

Obviously a tin pot chasing suitor who believes the horse will go on to win a lot more than 100k

I suppose. After his last win the first thing that came to my mind was that this horse will pick up serious prize money if he stays sound for a couple of seasons.

Aye, he seems alot classier than Beefy was a novice and look what he done. The sky is the limit.

I just hope Mr Casey is around to see it come to fruition

A clash with Sir Des Champs in the Lexus next year would be some crowd puller.

Rubi Light and hopefully Last Instalment too

I still have some hope for Bog Warrior. Hidden Cyclone could yet be a good horse too. First Lieutenant if none the worse for the RSA and I have probably forgotten someone

Raptor At 25/1 with his weight has to worth at least an e/w
Glam Gerry 12/1 Running well on good ground
Catch me 18/1 doing a good few 3miles +

Fairyhouse only for me today having spent a couple of hours studying whilst watching the Masters.
Steps to Freedom was not right at Cheltenham and I am hoping for a much better show today. Have even taken small amounts at big prices for 2013 Champion Hurdle.

Gran Torino (3.10), Four Commanders(4.50), Under the Boardwalk (5.25) and Barel of Laughs(4.55) all ew singles for me with a ew.yankee. Different reasons for each but am worried that Gran Torino has drifted out to nearly 40's on Befair. We'll see.

Glam Gerry I had down as the biggest eyecatcher of the Festival on his run behind Salut Flo. No idea about stamina, and have reservations about the kid that rides it again, but can't allow him to go unbacked.

I hoovered the 40+ small pieces on Betfair to add to my early stakes on Gran Torino- now 14/1 . Saver on Dedigout.
