Final Furlong V Talking Horses Day 2 Selections

TH up in 3
FF up in 4

FF take over in a few matches (First Lieutentant winning would have been the ideal result) but overall getting Grands Crus beat puts us in good shape.

FF up in 5
TH up in 2

The last two matches on the course are looking pivotal. Vendor would be a massive result in three of the matches.

Haven't the scores to hand but Vendor getting beat puts FF in pole position to win the day 5-2.

Did Tout Seul not have Champagne Fever.

Fair play on having them up so quickly. The results look right to me. I have to say I enjoyed the doubles format.

It was you who had the biggest hard on for Simonsig in the Autumn. What happened?

I backed him to win 2.5k in the Supreme. I was hoovering over 500/36 cover shot at 14/1 for the Neptune and didn't. When he was confirmed for the Neptune I was just sick and could not bring myself to back him at the prices available. It's probably the biggest oppurtunity I've ever missed in horse racing. No excuses for non converting it. Myself and Irish Stamp (who had a bigger hard on) should both be shot.

The horse is a machine and won in the fastest time of the day last time out despite being heavily eased late on - Simonsig is a very worthy favourite and should win.

Martin

That's what I wrote the day he won at Fairyhouse last year - spent the night before trying to hold the price up for a mate and had a small fortune on at 4's first show with 365.

That was only because I told him about it Euro!!

We were balls deep in the Supreme Novices :(

No. Your memory is blurred on this. You said he was a machine before his PTP bumper in Fairyhouse. I was the first to put him up at 33/1 on the ante post tipping thread. He was the classiest horse in the list by a mile. We than discussed it on MSN and you were adamant the Suprene was the race. That was when I started dripping money into Betfair. After his 1st win I topped up with Bet365 at 33/1 too.

I did also say after Sandown that the 2m 5f race was the wrong one - think it was Grassy who said it was the right race for him etc.

It's all gone Pete Tong

Morale of the story is we're potless when this should have been our biggest touch ever!

I don't consider myself to be interesting in betting too often and when I do it doesn't concern the jumps, I think the purists will agree that the legitimate test of throughbred is about to start soon although I wouldn't class the Lincoln meeting as exciting but rather a relief.
