Labour is a working mans government. :angy:
What is wrong with that? [/b][/quote]
Its a lie, i was trying to be sarcastic.

Haven't seen it but had to put up with my Dad calling Gordon Brown a thieving , robbing b*astard yet again!!

Minimum wage is increased in October.
20% rate from April 2008,
Inheritance tax threshold goes up to £300,000 from April.

He should squeeze the rich until the pips squeak :D

As for Cameron getting the better of Brown today.....what channel was that on?
From my view it was certainly the other way around. The pretty boy seemed way out of his depth...perhaps he should get another haircut.

Did I hear that the 10% income tax threshold is being abolished?
That's why Dad called him a thieving robbing b*astard (along with the standard rants about him thieving all the pension funds a few years back) but I couldn't see mention of it on the BBC website.

I thought the Inheritance Tax threshold was going up to £350k? Good news I guess but it's about time the robbing b*astards abolished it altogether!

What tax would you like to replace inheritance tax or what cuts do you propose ?

Oh I dunno, I just read it was going upto that amount, didn't read the timescale!

Ardross - Inheritance Tax is something I don't like in the slightest - not least as the thieving tossers expect you to pay it up front, even if it is all tied up in property! It would ruin me financially if anything happened to my Dad right now as between myself & my brother we'd have to come up with six figure amounts off the bat! Never mind that tax has already been paid on the entire amount at least once over in the first place.....

This government is adept enough at bleeding the public dry - I'm sure they'd find another way to milk the funds. Or - now here's a novel thought - they could cut down on their spending, more particularly on the obscene wages/allowances/benefits they get to cream off the back of the country.

Cameron had certainly done his homework. Brown writhed uncomfortably in his seat with a complete look of contempt whilst David Cameron gave an excellent summing up of Brown's latest and hopefully last ever budget. Very entertaining! :D

He was on a golfcourse all day so I doubt it - but he will do his best to catch up on it I'm sure - he hates this Labour government - Blair & Brown in particular - with a passion.

I hope David Cameron's understanding of the economy has improved since he was Norman Lamont's special adviser on Black Wednesday .
