For Whom Should You Vote?

You are quite right - it was summed up best in the USA by the Clinton team: "It's the economy, stupid". Which is a major reason why Labour will win by a majority of at least 80.

I'm sure it's not rigged.....however, it can weight the outcome somewhat in deciding what questions (and options to answer) they put up there.

Brian - I'm not so sure Rendell will win this time - I bloody hope he doesn't, that's for sure - the man is a f**king idiot. There is certainly going to be strong support for Richard Benyon, particularly amongst the more rural voters. He is a local man & landowner remember, and a popular one at that. Unfortunately the town of Newbury is pretty Rendell orientated (God knows why, he's done nothing for the area) but the Benyon supporters will be out in force and crucially, will vote, so I'm hoping that at least Richard can benefit from the many that won't bother to vote.

Your choice - but I'm not sure how much they'll do about improving the £5 an hour you're paid for overtime. They did oppose the minimum wage.

Labour -4
Conservative +30
Liberal Democrat -39
UK Independence Party +21
Green +12

I would have thought that was pretty accurate. I would emmigrate if the Lim Debs got it, I would never vote Labour but I find their generally centre-right politics inoffensive. I will vote Tory, I agree with some of what UKIP stand for and not sure what relevance the Greens have.

It's more than the minimum wage though.
(1) Only currently - it's now £4.85, goes to £5.05 in October 2005 and to £5.35 in October 2006.

(2) And that is for basic rate not overtime rate.

I came out as a Tory.

Not surprising really, as I can't stand the present government, and I wouldn't vote for the Lib Dems if the only other alternative was the monster raving looney party.

Code:
raise you 11 New Pence and a further 25 New Pence to take care of 2006

For all their tax cutting promises the Tories put up 22 taxes between 1992 and 1997 .

Their sums don't add up

The £35 billion cuts in waste will never be achieved they are cloud cuckoo land . as are Labour's £21 billion from Gershon . Every time these " waste " cuts are promised they either do not materialise or about two years later it is realised they weren't waste at all and are reinstated .

The Tories will have to cut spending on education and health to cut taxes .

which is like a Tax decrease when compared with pick your pockets Labour.

Of course it would be grossly unfair to forget the part that Tone played in the slaughter of the innocents in Iraq.

I've got a Labour (ex-Tory) parachuted in prior the last election and for Conservative it's a Londoner. Do i not like that.

It's Lib Dem for me too.

Oh Derek
Thats selective thinking. As Tone said it's time to move on.
It was like at the press conference the other day when John Pinaar pressed him for a reply on immigration he just said let's move on and we will answer that later. He only wanted to talk about the tory manifesto.
It seems to me that our Tone is being kept away from tough questions.
Little Ant and Deck for feck's sake, what kind of image does that present. As Terry Wogan said could you imagine Jacques Chirac being interviewed by Little Ant and Dec.

Who should I vote for?

You effin tell me

Why would I choose the Tories over the Liberal democrats?
Probably because in every interview I ever seen with that twat Charles Kennedy, I am yet to agree with a single thing he says.

I reckon he's a lunatic.

Sorry :D
