Just so people are aware i'm playing about a little with the forum at the moment so if you see the layout change or anything don't worry, if the forum dies and doesn't come back you know I've fucked up big style :D

ill try :)
im trying to stick an odds comparison (like oddschecker) in the site somewhere, but so it doesn't take half the page up or look ridiculous, but so people see it - a basic version should be showing at the bottom of the page now

not really, there are affiliate links embedded mine show half the time theirs the other half, but tbh the bokies that are used (all the main ones + betfair) most people will already have accounts with, so yes if people sign up for a new account, no if they already have one. Its more to add some extras to the site & maybe pull some new members in. I'll be setting up a dedicated page for it too but am just seeing if I can embed it somewhere on the forum, so, for example, if someone posts a horse in the 'what are you backing today' thread you can just scroll up or down, select the race and see the odds without leaving the site. Its something i would find useful (therefore assume others would), like if im at work sometimes i don't have time to mess about opening up betfair or whatever to see what sort of price is available, plus it works on my mobile which is a definate plus. What do you all think, is it something you would find handy?

I always use multiple browsers screens because I'm never off oddschecker so I definitely thinks its a very good idea.

It's a brilliant idea, I don't bet much obviously, but I find it interesting to see, and to be able to look quickly at everyone's choices would be great :)

Some of the ante post prices include horses no longer entered in various races, is it "old Links" or just that bookmakers haven't adjusted their sites yet ?

can you give me a couple of examples please? Its probably just the feed coming from the bookmakers but I'll check, its work in progress at the moment, the finished product is likely to be a bit different, i've left it at the bottom of the page for now just because it isn't getting in the way and its useful :)

eg Champion Hurdle ante post

What's brilliant about this is the way you can flick so quickly from one race to the next.

There are a few wrinkles, however. The Champion Chase odds are the same as on oddschecker for two bookmakers and different for the others. And presumably the Paddy Power odds of '1' are supposed to represent evens, but this is not correct if e.g. 1.67 = 4/6.

ok a few issues are fixed, the news has been updated, victor and betfair were showing place only odds for some reason on some races, which seem to have been sorted.
The API feed wasn't updating for paddy power either, well not in any manner that was any use, it was about 7 hours behind, it seems ok now from what i've seen but I can't really be sure until I get time to check it in markets that are fast moving, rather than ante post which is all thats really available at the moment.
Apparently out of over 500 affiliates, I'm the only person to complain about the issues, which I believe as most things have been sorted in a matter of hours, just goes to show most sites doing comparisons don't give a **** and just stick a bit of code on the site and hope they make money.
If anyone notices any other issues please let me know, the company providing the script seem very good, they reply to emails within minutes sometimes, a couple of hours at most and are very helpful.
Ill check other sports out as and when I can (like I noticed a couple of premiership matches were missing last night).
If people are reporting things that are wrong could you try to be as specific as possible please :)
thanks very much for the feedback so far

there still seems to be little price errors, but it seems to be that if you click either to fractions or decimals it updates the feed and gives the correct price.

Hurricane Fly's odds at Coral are showing below at 5/1, which would be more than surprising.

yeah the coral feed for the champion hurdle is screwed at the moment, in fact most coral antepost are.
I'll get it looked at thanks :)

I have to say, this new feature is way faster than oddschecker for vetting the bets posted in the Ante Post competition. Oddschecker is still needed for checking out some of the more obscure bookies and for its history of when prices change, but for the majority of bets it's all done in a few seconds without leaving the website.

Good, its never going to be as good as oddschecker but it was fairly simple to introduce and thought it might be useful. Not had any complaints about it either so presume it isn't getting in anyones way where it is.
