Gearoid - now why weren't you at Goffs this week - I'm sure we could have expanded on my school report, honey.... ! B)

Start writing that novel, G - you surely have a future in print.

Unfortunately, An wasn't allowed to bunk off from his workplace, so I live to keep my Francesca Annis image alive for a few more months yet!

Sorry abou that Julie. I'd cleared my calander from 11-1 on Thursday - being too stupid to realise that there was a leadtime for you in getting to Goffs from the Airport.

You do sound like Francesca, though.

I was jesting, of course. We all know that really he looks like this:

No, Brian, we don't ALL know any such thing! I know cappuccinos are probably beltingly expensive in Ireland, but what a pathetic excuse to get out of buying one for Julie. Not only did she not find anything to buy from the Sales, she didn't even have a consolation coffee. Dashed bad show, old boy!

You can get a take-away Capuccino in Cafe Gertrude in Temple bar for €1.65. Requests for extra-strong are observed. They will even put the sugar in and stir it for you.

Gosh I was thinking of that stuck in the past coffee bar at Temple Underground station . Reminds me of training to be a barrister in LOndon and how exciting the Seattle Coffee Company and Pret a Manger seemed in comparison in 1998

So I understand - it was just the idea of that place being renamed Cafe Gertrude that tickled me

As you are clearly an avid shopper at Sainsbury's, I'm surprised you haven't bigged up their instant capuccinos (sachets), Ardross. They are really good, the froth is long-lasting and the taste is excellent. Chocolate dusting provided, too. We have become great fans of them in the chilly Owners' hut at Lingfield.
