Glastonbury

I have bodyswerved this altogether as I am sickened by the fact that a well known very good group were not invited.

Who? Darkthrone dont do gigs.

As much as I like some of New Order's singles (they are about to added to the good singles, rubbish albums thread), I have to say they sounded atrocious last night.

They are one of those bands who struggle to emulate their crisp sound, achieved in the studio, when they play live.

You could not hear the lead vocals and "World In Motion" was all over the place.

Bugger off the lot of you!!! My TV blew up a couple of weeks back & I haven't gotten around to getting it fixed yet....

I want to see Glastonbury!!!!!!!

Diminuendo - I saw Echo & The Bunnymen at Glastonbury a couple fo years back & they weren't that great, tbh. Yer man, the lead fella (sorry, can't remember his name!!!! :shy: ) was more interested in talking a load of shite rather than performing!

My favourite Echo & The Bunnymen record is that one (can't remember the name but it goes like this) "Can you hear them, talking bout us, telling lies, well that's no surprise" (in urdu) but I think at that time they were called Big Fun.

Brian Wilson looks like he's been taken out of a vat of formaldehyde to perform, and when (on 'Sloop John B' - still a huge fave of the fans and mine) was on, I had to laugh at "this is the worst trip I've ever been on". No, Bri, that's not strictly true, is it, man?

It's a miracle the guy still functions, let alone has the balls to get up in front of thousands despite suffering from severe stage fright.

So that explained the rabbit-in-the-headlights look! Yes, gotta give him fair dues for not only remembering the lines and how to hold a tune, but that he had to turn up at all. I'm amazed that the human system can overcome, somehow, being turned into a walking pharmacy by some of these guys - Ozzy, the Stones, etc. still being outstanding survivors.

Well i for one was singing along to all of the songs with Brian Wilson. Within 5 minutes of Good Vibrations, the Close i live in become deserted. Here comes the tumbleweed now.......

It was great to see so many people in the crowd bopping along to Brian Wilson. It really put me in a good mood listening to those old songs and a very brave performance by Brian.
