Goodwood Golden Mile

Whoputfiftyinyou is surely another with a good chance. Jimi Hendrix franked the form of the Ascot race nicely.

Yes, I like WPFIY and JH's win last week was no surprise. I thought he'd be my selection until I over-thought the Goldolphin horses.

From Post #1:

In the Bunbury Cup thread I mentioned Azano:

I've only just come across the fact that Azano won a race last Sunday, for which a 3lb penalty will probably ensure he gets a run (if the race is indeed the plan). Still 66s and I'm tempted to go in again.

Just to note I think DO's contribution to this place has been hall of fame level for decades. I wouldn't have next to near the concentration or application to replicate his approach but always consider his recommendations. If you disparage his approach and have contributed to a pension plan than you are being hypocritical.

And I'm fairly sure that, unlike others, he is not down to his last 50P either.

Listen everyone. We by and large user-wise anyway have a nice workable forum with plenty posters of interest and even horses owned by owners willing to share their news with everyone.

Of course the usership gets bigger in the winter but thats besides the point.

It does seem Tanlic has been out of order. Its a shame as he wasn't too well not long ago. But hey. Illness and even getting older is no excuse for some of the swipes that been levelled at DO.

I just really hope this all ends well before we lose the good soul of this place.

With recent events with regards to losing Colin and Roger lets all try and be as respectful as we can to each other.

I'm no angel but I'm trying!

I agree.my approach is similar to DO's.i love big hcaps and often have more than one alert in them.im always looking for something that's in my opinion overpriced.
If others dont like it they dont have to read it.
I dont criticise favourite backers.its not for me but for some/most do it that way.
We should be able to get on with each other even if we have different views.

It's a big draw race for me too but sometimes the ante-post price is too tempting and if something fanciable does get a decent draw you can be guaranteed the price will be cut immediately.

Laa Rayb won from stall 15 and there have been plenty of wide draw placers.

But it is one of the few races I 'sort' based on the draw.

I only just realised Whoputfiftyinyou was taken out at the last entry stage. Thats one less to worry about, DO!

I've now gone in again (66s, 5 places). I can't see the price lasting if he's declared on Wednesday. Again, small beer compared with my Noble Dynasty (now 5s tops) bet but worth having onside. I'd love to see Tudhope's name ending up next to it!

Shining Blue and Jimi Hendrix in 20 and 21. When the market comes up Noble Dynasty (3) is a bet at anything at or over 9/2.

Never had any intwntions of going for the big one with Azano it took too long to get him right to be throwing him in at the deepend and sickening him.

It's back to Redcasr on Saturday.
