Grand National

I have no issues with Iroko being a short price.

I wouldn't put anything past the owner and would not be at all surprised if he has been organising all sorts of odds being taken surreptitiously and I think the horse has the ability to win a Grand National. I think they're playing games with the sport and looking to profit by a lot more than the purse on offer.

He doesn't jump well enough to see out The Ultima. Stiff-backed, which causes a significant extra energy output when jumping. I suspect he was tired last time rather than needing a longer trip.

Today's scratchings - Flooring Porter, Ile Atlantiique Blizzard Of Oz Mister Coffey, Deafening Silence and the retired Appreciate It

VF x

Good news.

Quai De Bourbon is almost guaranteed a run as it now only needs one more to come out while Intense Raffles is three closer to being safe.

Mister Coffey and Deafening Silence, in particular, had no chance of getting in anyway.
