I'm going on Saturday night to see the new film but am planning on going to the late showing to avoid being surrounded by numerous kids. Is anyone else planning on seeing it?

Daniel Radcliffe who plays Harry was on Jonathan Ross a couple of weeks ago. He's grown up so much since the first film and sadly I can't see him being able to continue the role of Harry through to the last film.

Yes I cannot wait to see it either!

Radcliffe (as well as the others) will play the characters to the end, surely no doubt about that now. They start filming the next film early next Feburary, by the time the final book is turned to film it will Radcliffe should look the age Harru should be considering he will have finished school etc

Daisy (aged 8) wants to see it but am I right in thinking it's got a rating of 12 meaning she'll not be able to get into the cinema?????

Yeah, saw a couple of them with the girlfriend.

Shocking stuff, reminds me all a bit of a amateur production. The kids acting was awful in the first few. The whole thing just bored me to tears.

The third film was miles better than the first two - hope this continues the trend

Griffin I think it is a 12A thus a child under 12 can get in if accompanied by an adult

In that case Mr Grumpy can go with her. I'm saving myself for the Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe :D

I agree the first two films were nothing special but Prisoner Of Az was super. These films cannot but get better given the trend in the books.

Saw this last night and think it was the best one so far, although the other half doesn't agree. Some parts were missed out, although it would have been impossible to include absolutely everything that happened in the book unless they made it in two parts. As a result it probably helps if you've read the book, the other half hasn't and I think that could be part of the reason for him not enjoying it as much as I did. Its a bit scarier than the rest and the scenes leading up to the dance made a brilliant job of highlighting Ron and Harry's awkwardness at having to find partners for the ball.

It's a good film but when you compare it to the book, it's rubbish. At least three characters were missed out and parts of it were changed!
Oh and Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint are going to be in the next film, The Order of The Phoenix but I don't know about the 6th and 7th.

How can Radcliffe be a bog standard child actor in run of the mill films, and all of a sudden improve such that he is the star turn on Jonathon Ross?

Smells a bit if you ask me.

Saw the film on Saturday & it was excellent. I agree that a lot was missed out but you can only expect that or teh film would be about 6 hours long!

Bits of it were certainly scary & I wouldn't let a child of mine under the age of 12 see it I don't think, it is very dark.

The main actors are certainly looking quite old now too - they may be struggling to stay childlike in forthcoming films!

Trying to remember how old are the meant to be in the most recent book and how old are they they in real life? It would be a major gamble changing all the characters for the next few films and would be weird viewing. Cannot see it happening myself.

Mixed reviews here. Daisy loved it, Ian hated it and Molly fell asleep after ten minutes

I agree that they shouldn't change the actors, Gal, they are looking pretty old now though! I'm sure in Goblet of Fire they were supposed to be 15 & they look around 17 to my untrained eye.

Griffin - did your girls find bits of it scary? I did!!!

Finally saw it tonight . I thought it was well edited , it would have been ten hours long otherwise . Some bits were very well done indeed , the ball , the Moaning Myrtle in the bath and the end .

I thought that the maze was a bit poor - just lost of rushing wind and scary tendrils leaving out for example the sphinx .

Generally , though good and the kid actors are getting better as they get older . Less silly gurning from Ron for a start .

I downloaded THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA made a DVD last night(for my two granddaughters its not a film that appeals to me!!!) I am downloading HARRY POTTER(for them) now (its running in the background when I am on the web) via BITCOMET takes ages but its free................. ;)

I am also dowloading INDIANA JONES...I like H-F films so thats mine..... :P

I'm re-reading the Half Blood Prince at the moment, after that I'm going to start from the beginning again and see if I've missed anything.
