Truth is, Fist, he was bang in contention at the 4th last, and gradually began to lose ground from that point.
As you said a couple of days ago, NH cold get a lazy mule fit at home if need be, so why did he run the horse over the stiffest test he's faced, and on ground he didn't like? Everything about the run, including the manner he was ridden, suggests yesterday's race was no more than exploratory, and it's conclusion blindingly obvious.
