Help re a Sun Holiday

I'd have thought it was obvious: BRIGHTON!

Fly to Gatwick, National Express for peanuts, B&Bs are cheap and cheerful - there's a backpackers' hostel right outside my flat starting at £9 a night for B&B, loads of casinos, night clubs, naughty clubs, about 10 pubs within 100 yards of any given place, the beaches (regular and nudist!), literally hundreds of cafes, bistros and assorted eateries, plus the RACING! Dogs - free on Tuesday and Thursday nights at Hove (about £8 by taxi from in town - not much if shared), and I daresay I could apply for mates' rates for you for the horses - there are six meetings in June/July, so there's absolutely no excuse for you not to attend at least one of them!

There are three or four comedy stores where up-and-coming stand-ups try out (with raucous audiences plied with beer), the fabulous Marina for 10-pin, snooker/pool, swimming, multiscreen cinema, speedboat or fishing boat hire... could you ask for more? The place is heaving with young people having fun - you really would have to be particularly dull not to have a good time here!

Thousands of hen do's every weekend too - Brighton in the summer is great :)

If you put on a grey wig, Trudles, I'll do my best to convince them you're a wrinkly, but it might be touch-and-go! They're the greatest bunch there, very attractive and attentive young men (knowing they're gay doesn't make you feel like a sad old fag hag saying that!), super food and a jolly outside seating area in summer, where you can see the sea, the sail boats, and watch the world go by.

You're not wrong, IS - loads and loads of nice girls out at the clubs. And so many clubs to choose from, too! Komedia is literally round the corner from me for stand-up, and then there are all those promoting new bands - I think British Sea Power did their first gig here. Lots of young film/tv/actor types around, too, as well as artists and designers. All give the city a great vibe of energy, fun, and also have found them to be friendly and polite. No big-city brashness and crassness here!

I had you more down as a Northern Soul kind of girl for Komedia Kri. Cracking little place :)

Also West Street for Del and his mates depending on what they're after.

Oi! It's North LAINE (which is where I live, so less of that, you cheeky monkey!) and The Lanes. Everyone will know you're a furriner if you make those mistakes. 'Laine' apparently being OE for 'field' - not much of those around now!

By 'taking something' I assume you refer to the pleasing tobacco smells, rather than folks nicking stuff? You can save a fortune on your roll-ups if you just loiter outside The Dorset on Saturdays.
