We managed to loose three fence panels, seven sheets of glass out of the greenhouse & four roof tiles  but it could of been worse

It breaks my heart to report that we've had blue skies & unbroken sunshine here all week - it feels really quite warm in the sun too B)

Just to dispel the rep i might be getting myself as a total bastard, today there was a power failure near Carnforth and so we had to ferry passengers on a Glasgow service to coaches for a trip to Carlisle where they`d be able to pick up another train.

I came across a lady with infant twins who were being transported in child car seats. I made my boss ring our control to try and get them a taxi to Carlisle. No dice, so i stayed with her and when the coach arrived told everyone to stand back whilst a colleague and i got on the coach to see if we could get the infants safely on the coats with seatbelts across the car seats. During this i heard on the radio that a train to Edinburgh was going through, so i got the lady and her twins back on the platform and managed to get them upgraded to first class.

When you high-handedly decide that British society is crap, I'll get on any fcuking horse I want, if that's the language you prefer. I'm more than a little tired of the decades of knocking this country and its people (regardless of origin, skin colour, blah, blah, blah) get. You don't want to live in America because the racing's crap (your favourite word again), but you just dismissed all of Britain because of a poxy tv show. Get a sense of perspective, man. And for Christ's sake, CHEER UP!

You and your big mouth. I finally get a day off and it's chucking it down.

 You know I didn't mean it like that

Actually the high winds did me a favour on Saturday. I was merrily pootling along the A34 on my way to visit my parents when a huge gust made my car wobble. I was doing just above 70mph so decided to slow down a bit and dropped down to about 60mph. Lo and behold just as I did that a police mobile speed camera unit came into view and I passed them by being a law abiding citizen :D Without the wind I'd probably be waiting for a ticket to drop through my letterbox!
