I still suspect the King George got to him.
Possibly but as he’s a six year old now, where else do you go with him? He’s not realistically going to improve, he’s come back from a leg injury where he was off nearly a year and he’s won a KG. He’s also an attractive stallion proposition being a brother to Baeed so it makes sense. Sadly he’s off to Japan although maybe we will get to see one of his progeny in the Arc one day.
Teleprompter -there's a blast from the past.I can remember him being beaten in a Redcar Handicap before progressing to win an Arlington Million.
The track pony I used to ride in California was a full brother to Teleprompter. One of the kindest horses I have ever ridden...lacking the sibling ability but a sweetheart all the same.
It is disingenuos to say he will be forgotten about in two years -that is the nature of the beast when it comes to stallions-very few succeed.Since Teenoso won the Epsom Derby in 1983-how many winners have really made it at stud.
Hukum was a winning 2yo and raced on until he was a 6yo winning at least one race every season and improved every season. He won on the all weather and was a Good traveller being able to win in Dubai.A two time Group 1winning brother to Baeed he is entitled to take his chance at stud.
Who could have predicted what Wind In Her Hair did when she went to Japan.
That's way too big a word for you Luke
Just to clarify: I was talking from a punters/racegoers point of view, the majority of whom have absolutely no interest in breeding.
If we asked 100 racegoers to name for example 5 sons/daughters of Australia 2014 Derby winner 95 would have no idea and there are 0ver 50 out there.
If it so happens one of his were to win the Arc or something he would get a mention but apart from that.
It simply doesn't matter to people once they are gone they are gone apart from the Nijinsky's and Mill Reef's of the racing world and Hukum ain't one of them
Can anyone remember the other Sangster owned great whose name was misspelled.
