Il est francais

10/1freely available -closer to 20s on betfair. Can they get him right in 5 weeks -I don't know but anything over 16 on betfair is worth a nibble.
A month is a long time in racing.

Just look at City Of Troy from the Guineas to Derby. It can be done.

They would have to rough him off them it takes about 4 weeks to prepare him and that's a big ask when it comes to a king george...need to be crazy to back him now.

You are prepared to take a chance on Constitution Hill at much shorter odds. All about risk/reward.

Risk? He's reportedly in great form while the French horse's chances of running are slim to zero...I trust Nicky to have him spot on for the FF then it's onward and upwards

How can you be so confident the French horse's chances of running are slim to zero -in your opinion what are the odds he makes it to Kempton.
Likewise what are the odds Constitution Hill makes it to Cheltenham.

What would be the usual time that they would wait after a "pulmonary haemorrhage" before running again?
Haven't a clue but jockey pulled him up a long way out yesterday and didn't abuse him. As a lowly paid accounts assistant in London in 1994 I had backed Barton Bank to do the Charlie Hall/Gold Cup double at 250/1-a few weeks before the Gold Cup he broke a blood vessel at home and was declared a non runner for Cheltenham. He raced on for years after that -I think they just changed his routine.
I believe the French have excellent under the counter medication to solve the problem.

I remember Barton bank - did he not fall at the last In the king George one year?

Takes about 6 weeks then you can only cross your fingers and hope it doesn't happen again. The treatment more often works than not but the risk remains and you could run him twice and nothing then bang it raises it's ugly horse again.

You will remember Nicky Henderson being banned for running the Queens Moonlit Path while being treated and getting banned. She ran twice after that with no problem then was pulled up at Aintree when stopping like shot by Felix De Giles and never ran again

Geez he was 5/1 a moment ago was Nicky saying something negative...........anyone have a link I am basically cut of from news articles here at the moment?
