Very pleased to see him go out in one piece after an exhibition round of jumping until he got tired today .

Last of three titans of the 2010 GC / He was truly brilliant that day to stay with and then outpace Denman . A wonderful jumper of a fence and three particular days at Cheltenham(PP, Ryanair and GC) as well as that terrific battle with Kauto at Haydock stick in the memory .

A long and happy retirement to the old boy .

It was hardly an exhibition round. He fiddled quite a few on the first circuit.

I was glad to see him exit the race and his career in one piece.

Lovely to see him retired happy and healthy. Did someone say he was going back to Ireland?
