Internet Doomsday in July

I know I should have learnt my lesson after the 'biblical storms in May' thread, although the weather does seem a tad unsettled.

But, on BING news, there is an article purporting to a scam-bust in America which may have some repurcussions in July. There is also a link to a 'computer checker', does anyone here know much about this story or is it bullsh*t I can ignore?
