Is there anything like seeing the entries for the opening 2yo maiden? What are everyone's predictions for the season? Has anyone seen betting for the jockeys title?

I would be very interested in Joseph for the jockeys title - you would have to have a bet in the 2yo maiden - cannot wait for the rumour mill - have word for a couple of very decent 3yo maiden - cannot wait to get ploughed into them.....

Don't be big and strong the first month OTB. Rein in the hormones. Soft money to be had during the summer months.

Correct - I had a poor run this time last year for about 6 / 7 weeks while the flat season settled down, Aintree is poisonous and Punchestown is only slighty better.
It's a good time to take a bit of a pull and keep the ears and eyes open.

...wise words. Back nothing at the moment unless it's for next year's Festival.;)

Every day is an opportunity, I plan on making at least thirty grand this year and that starts on Sunday.

Going though the entries now. The Group 3 will be a real nice race. The winner last year went on to win at Royal Ascot no less.

I do remember everyone on Talking Horses saying Sing Softly run a massive time and put her up as a massive 1000 Guineas contender.

You gotta laugh some times, and you gotta know whose comments to take with a pinch of salt.

SlimChance the horse you're talking about is Lolly For Dolly? I think in 2010 on her 2nd start she proved good enough for the Irish 1000 Guineas, I know a few of us were on at big prices but it proved that she can only perform on softer conditions.

Well within her right to bolt up in easy fashion as a 4 year old last year.

Re: Swing Softly. I was massively against the form of that race. She was drawn best by a mile and that was that.

I can assure you that you wasn't apart of the following that thought she was the next coming of Peeping Fawn.

No names will be mentioned.

McDonagh is riding like the devil since he came back from honeymoon but won't have the ammunition. Joseph at the prices - if he can do 9st consistently. His lowest was 9st3lb throughout the allweather. There are a lot of older horses at Ballydoyle with a lot of penalty kicks in conditions races and maidens. He is demand with several of the smaller trainers and could run the other two codgers close.

Have you not heard they are putting up the minimum weights in maidens to 9st for fillies and 9st 5lbs for colts?
