I saw your post yesterday Oxford and thought it that utterly pointless I didn't think it even warranted a response. Your attempt at humour just came across as trolling whether that was the way it was meant or not.
I'm trying to watch my potty mouth as much as possible but people like you don't make it easy. This post had annoyed me more after taking a cheap shot at someone after a posting a bet that didnt win, you follow with basically asking the same person to give you tip for a race ??? The part i hate most about forums is lurkers, people who just hover around trying to benefit from other peoples work without contributing and there are plenty who don't even bother to post a thank you when they've made money off other peoples backs. That's bad enough even worse is people who lurk and then come on with a negative comment.
I've always thought that forums should to some extent be under an umbrella, a forum i used to be on used to have a private section for regular contributors, i know its a feature of some other forums have too.Basically to protect it from people like you who want to take, give nothing back, and have very little nice to say.
I've managed to get through most of that without swearing, it wasnt easy. Imo Slim is well within his rights to tell you to f%*& off again and as for giving you another tip if I was him i wouldn't be giving you the drippings off my pr**k !

% agree with Danny on this matter - not only failing to unconditionally apologise, but playing the victim and actually asking for another tip - what an absolute 24-carat, Grade A, USER.
Oxford's original post was completely unacceptable in my book.
It wasn't directed at me, but that doesn't matter, whether it's in response to Slim or anyone else, trashing other people's tips after they've got beat is poor form.
It adds nothing to the forum and anyone above the age of a toddler should know better than to make a posting like that.
And Oxford's play-the-victim reply, no-doubt emboldened by ill-judged defence of him by some, was equally contemptible.
If everyone wants this forum to flourish, I suggest they cease defending stuff like this, realise there's an unwritten code of conduct among those who take their betting seriously (and serious betting means serious, opinionated, insight and that drives traffic here like nothing else) and that you simply don't post what Oxford (who has offered nothing here so far by way of comparison) did.
Oxford deserved every expletive that came his way because what he wrote was far, far, more offensive.
I hope, despite the defensive molly coddling of him in some quarters, Oxford will learn a lesson from it.
Great thread, this, from Slim, I hope he continues to contribute to it - because no one could blame him if he didn't, frankly.
