The stallion trail is open for registration .
Studs are open Friday January 16 and Saturday 17, snow permitting.
I believe the big annual racing quiz will be held Friday 16th in Lord Bagenal Hotel if anyone is interested.
My plan is to hit Coolmore (pre registration required) Friday morning on my way to Kilkenny and Wexford studs , my wedding anniversary being near enough that weekend.
 
Another fabulous weekend where there was a red carpet five star welcome for all and sundry as the studs put their best foot forward to welcome the public.
Food , teas and coffees even a full silver service with free bar at Ballylinch meant the weary traveller was greatly refreshed for the road to follow.
The Mark O'Hanlon Memorial Quiz was well supported with up to thirty teams , a lot of younger teams among them.
Quite a few questions had a local Kilkenny /Carlow flavour to them so Sir Richard/Grey/Paddy/Edgt were Junior B performers on the night.
Lacken Stud standing Khalifa Sat have a yardful of friendly dogs, piebalds, yearlings, two and three year olds as well a large flock of ewes lambing shortly so anyone needing to lose weight/get away from it all/safehouse need look no further !
Bring on 2027.
