Anyone seen The Apprentice yet?

Jeebus, what a sad lot of gits. If i worked with Jo...the over effusive curly haired one...i`d end up killing her. If she isn`t gone in two weeks it`s a fix and she`s a plant. And i wont watch on.

Im sure Alan Sugar wont lose any sleep knowing you wont be watching it anymore...

I watched 'The Apprentice' again tonight, and then the follow-up with Adrian Chiles interviewing the second reject (Nargis) on Beeb 3. It's really interesting to see what she thought was a 'good presentation' - an annoying long piece of hair dangling over her face, telling the director to whom she was plugging their project that 'I haven't finished talking yet', and then finishing talking; trying the old Arab dealer bit with two marketing execs because she hadn't a clue how much money she was supposed to ask for her product - 'you tell me what you want to pay for it' - 'No, we don't do it like that' - 'Just give me a price - your price...'

I'm with Euro - I'd have battered the hyperactive Jo, who thinks constantly gurning, yelling, doing footie-style air-punching and bouncing up and down reflects the amount of 'energy' she's putting into the projects. She needs a jab of tranquillizer, or perhaps a good slap - 'I'm sorry, I thought you were having hysterics'.

The blokes have burst into tears more than the 'girls', and have had a good full-on confrontation each time so far - it's like watching a bunch of stags clashing antlers during the rut. Good fun - although after watching Harry Hill liken Sir Alan to Sid James, with side-by-side photos (eerily alike), I can't take his ranting seriously.

I've been watching The Apprentice too and I have to say that it's nowhere near as good as the last series. Maybe I'm being harsh because we've only seen two episodes so far. But I agree with everything said about Jo, the sooner she's gone, the better. I lost count of the amount of times I shouted "pull yourself together love" at the telly last night

I watched The Apprentice for last night and I agree that Jo is pretty melodramatic and very annoying. But I'm glad that Nargis was kicked out last night - she was driving me loopy with all her tripe and appears a right nasty piece of work. She was lying through her teeth in the boardroom and constantly trying to deflect the blame for their poor performance onto other people when she was the root of most of the problems.

Yes, she had more twists and turns than a rollercoaster - that's what's fun about the series, though - watching human nature at mostly its worst, when a roomful of overly-ambitious types are thrown together.

I loved her ridiculous patter: "Did you know that there are 6 million cats in the UK ALONE?" As against what - 350 million cats in the entire world? Did you figure Northern Ireland into your equation, and have you accounted for wild species and feral populations? Utterly irrelevant to promoting a calendar for poorly kids and Great Ormonde St. Hospital, but not with Nargis!

Exactly, and wtf is it with all the crying? I`ve nothing against grown men having a good sob, but it has to be for the right reason. It smelled of being overly stage managed for me, something that wasn`t an issue in the first series.

Yes, gotta agree that a lot of it looked like snivelling for effect. I also felt unpleasantly cynical when the blokes' presenter (forgotten his name already!) said 'You'll have to forgive me if I get emotional about this... ' then very promptly FAILED to get the least bit emotional but DID sound like a used car salesman! I may need to keep a sickbag handy for next time!

There was an article in the Daily Record yesterday where Jimmy McGovern (Cracker) said that if he saw there was a drama on ITV at 9 p.m. he would immediately know it would be crap without having to watch it.
