Jacuqes Le Marois

the flawed Irishmen - Best - Alex Higgins - Fallon

they polarise opinion..always have

all 3 had/have a dark side...Higgins & Fallon probably more so than Best who was reportedly a nice guy without the booze

i personally liked Best a lot..and Higgins..not so much Fallon though..a bit too dark possibly;)

one thing all 3 had in common was the press dislike[d] them and want to slam them down..even though those writing the words had probably got drink, drug & philandering issues in their own hypocritical lives. they hounded Best unmercifully

KF isn't as high profile as the other two so is fortunate that the press aren't that interested in him

Wouldn't be too sure that Excelebration is all that "jaded" - he's only had 3 races since joining AO'B, and had simply given his all lto in his bid to defeat Frankel.
He's had a rest since then, ran well fresh on his first run of the season, and (judged on how he ran last time, and his numerous entries over shorter) this sharpish 1m could be right up his street. It's not a race AO'B usually targets either, so with the right man booked, whatever the pace, I think he'll be really up for it.
Like you, I hope that KF wins if Excelebration doesn't. Whatever else, he's still got that clock in his head that separates him from most others.

"And its Most Improved in the final furlong, under a beautifully timed ride by Fallon, he's assassinated them" lol.

I take it both EC1 and Reet would agree these words would be nice to hear?!

something is wrong here with Ballydoyle horse

Moonlight Cloud is a place lay
in fact I prefer more than half of the field rather than her

Excelebration didnt need to be at his best
in fact considering he should have target this race knowing Frankel would not be around, he does not look as good as was last year.

About Camelot
he is the opposite, his form weakens day by day and I still dont understand how can he be favorite for the Arc.

the 3yo are a bad crop.

frankel as much a winner of that than the winner itself. how good is he!

cityscape gave me an excellent run for my money. i also did a bit on the pmu at what was supposedly around 30s.

Is it ****. Giofra was 10s in Falmouth and Maybe was 5s. Should have been 4s and 12s respectively.

No. Excelebration had the right form and the right connections. If that race was run in the Curragh he'd have been 11/10.

to be fair E was that price because he ran a stone below his best last time out...without that run i would have lumped on today..as it was i looked elsewhere

if Excelebration would have been ridden to be second in the Queen Anne he would have beat the rest of the field easily

even though , I dont think Excelebration is as good horse this year as he was last year, maybe not trained on as is a small horse

thats a fair comment..but when horses get broken in a race like that it can have repercussions...there was a ? for me personally today and it wouldn't have been a surprise to me to see him bomb out today.

on paper that last run did make the price today imo..it didn't look good value to me becasue i didn't know how he would come out of that race
