He'd been in poor health for some time.

Everyone has always said what a nice chap he was and he undertook a great deal of charity work, although I have to admit that I never cared much for his programmes.

Jeremy Beadle, star of Beadle's About and You've Been Framed, has died age 59.

The television presenter had been treated in hospital for several days with pneumonia.

He had previously suffered a kidney tumour in 2004, and lymphocytic leukaemia in 2005.

According to the Sun his family were by his bedside when he died.
