Job Advice

[Ballydoyle]

I have been working as a surveyors secretary in Central London for the past 9 years and whilst its a job I love, recent events have given me cause to think about what else I can do with my life.

My dream job would be working in the racing industry in some shape or form but I am constrained by not being able to move away from my home or travelling too far!

Does anyone know the best place to look for a PA/Admin type of job either in Central London, ie working for a major firm like Jockey Club, BHA etc or perhaps a short drive out of town, Kempton is relatively close, Sandown too at a push, and I would imagine that Great Leighs would be another option? I know there arent any racing stables in London to apply to.

Get your CV updated and start sending it out to racecourses nearby, Ballydoyle highlighting your passion for horseracing! There is normally jobs advertised in The Racing Post, especially on Saturdays.

How dirty do my hands have to get on a keyboard?!

Seriously though I may not know much about day to day running of a stable etc but i am always keen to learn but I am smart enough to recognise my limitations and that includes riding (beginner at best!).

Where in Surrey?
