Lets get it started.

Woven could be the handicap good thing on day one.

Also like the look of Spanish Mission in the first.

Decrypt was not entered in the July Stakes, but then again, the idea of dropping him to six furlongs seemed strange.

When he does run, I am sure it'll be worth the wait.

Also like Platinum Star - only beaten by a very good horse over too short latest.
Reckon Dazzling Dan 3.00 was outpaced, rather than outstayed, at York, and the likely stronger pace and slightly stiffer track, ought to see him back in the winner's enclosure.
Tidy ew double too, for those prepared to risk it.:)

Thanks Suny. I had actually noticed those entries, which in truth is deeper level of research than I normally employ.

I have them as three co-favourites and 12/1 bar - like RH I think the WC was a solid race and he beat 20 in it. I am going to have a noticeable bet at 10s, ew.

Thursday - no bets

Friday - Ben Vrackie was the most eye catching horse I saw at the Royal Meeting. Mentioned in that thread on here that he'd be a big bet for me if he ran in the Ebor. He lines up tomorrow in the 1m6 handicap. Took 8s and 7s last week and he's now very short for a race like this.

Good Birthday ran well from a high draw in the London Gold Cup at Newbury and Headman (also drawn poorly that day) has franked the form big time since. GB was taken to the inside that day whilst the winner stayed wide. He didn't stay in the George V.

3:00 Eddystone Rock (e/w) and 3:35 Qabala (win) my best today.

Interesting isn’t it how Sheikh Mohammed’s son’s jockey of choice is Frankie Dettori . As he is of his daughter ( maroon and white colours) and of course his estranged wife.

Finally! Got my mojo back. I’ve backed some winners!
Kings Advice
Royal Intervention
Veracious
and Dark Vision ew.

Serious after-timing there, Jinny.

Oh for sure! I am a first class expert at it! But if I’d posted them, they’d be trailing in with all sorts of excuses which is what happens on the rare occasions I do get brave enough to stick up tips. Far safer in a compy!

Admirality (3:00) put in a lifetime best at York last month and wasnt raised much in the ratings. He is a must bet tomorrow win and each way and surely cant start double digit prices.

Earlier on, Kings Command will be hard to beat so looks a worthy favourite.

Francis Xavier looks a big each way price at York in what is a very open John Smiths Cup.

In the 12 races comprising Thursday and Friday Newmarket placepots, only one favourite made the frame. Must be some kind of record for a feature meeting where you'd assume the form would work out.

Is it something to do with climate change?

Since start of the Royal meeting a theme of my betting has been backing the second in a race won by a Dettori mount. Nice of him to not even try on Ben Vrackie yesterday. Shithouse.

The July Cup looks tough, can't see an angle.

I like top weights in big handicaps and if you stop a recording of the Hunt Cup at the furlong pole So Beloved looks the most likely winner. But he's a 7f animal and the Bunbury Cup should suit him better. For all he never wins his mark looks ok and I've taken 22s for 5 place.

July Cup:
Expect a much better run from Ten Sovereigns today. Always raced on the pace for his 3/3 wins last season, and again when not staying the Guineas' trip. For some reason, he was dropped in behind Advertise in the Commonwealth and it patently didn't work. Foresee more prominent tactics today, and a better result. Seems the word is out already, according to the market.

Bunbury:
Crossing The Line has shown his best turf form on fast ground. Another the market hasn't missed this morning, and I'll be disappointed if he doesn't make first 4,at least.

Year of the Tiger went to the start with his mouth wide open last week -not a good sign -looking to take him on today -possibly in running or a place lay.

That’s better! Couldn’t understand why on earth they held him up in the Commonwealth Cup. Good performance.

Great call. Glad I kept the faith

Did you catch RM's reluctant and tepid explanation for that run, or AOB enthusing about how the horse had worked recently?
They can dress it up how they like; the fact remains they're still using gp1's as training races and - as usual - they're never called to account for it.

Admirality is a horse to follow in future.

He has two entries in next couple of weeks, (Scottish Stewards over 6F plus Ascot on July 27th.)

Glorious Goodwood could be an interesting mission.

He looked a big burly horse in the parade ring.

I reckon a bit of cut in the ground might aid his cause.

Well done with Ten Sovereigns, RH.

Races in the 7.40 tonight at Hamilton in Scottish Stewards.

I'll be cheering him on.
