This looks a cracking race.
Beach Belle,
Anthem Alexander,
Kool Kompany,
Capella Sansevera,
APOB batallion of three
I do hope the ground does not spoil it.
Anybody going ?
On The Bridle has a chance in the last.
Maarek on show also.

slim has been putting up beach belle since her maiden so be interested to know if he thinks she can handle this kind of company.

anthem alexander's beating of tiggy wiggy at ascot looks good form now but will she want better ground? kool kompany looks a tough nut who will be there or thereabouts.

cracking race.

if it gets soft Anthem Alexander won't run...i don't fancy him even on Good/Soft.,,needs decent ground imo

the form of Beach Belle's last run hasn't worked out really too well.

Bwana is an interesting link horse to a few of these...was beaten 3l easily by The Great War..was beaten 2 lengths by Beach Belle...and beaten nearly 5 by Kool Company.

It would be easy just to go for Kool Company but its usually an Irish winner in this.

18.0 for The Great War is a big price for a horse that was very short for a G2 race and is clearly well thought of..maybe 6f on a slower surface may show him in a better light...worth a pop at the price

Beach Belle's running style will never lead her to being deeply impressive on the book. She has to be in front at the line as she'll idle in front. She's also a terrible looking horse and is on the small side so she's unlikely to train on but she's good, very good and worked the house down the other day. She's the value in the race.

@curraghrace: Curragh ground is now Yielding following 12mm rain overnight. Sunshine & showers forecast today.

Shame it is not decent ground. Ground would point me in KK or BB direction.
KK would be the one to beat if holding his form. BB who I wouldn't fancy on better ground, probably just gets my vote on the easier ground, and coming in the fresher horse.

I fancy Beach Belle as well. Picked the same two horses as the mighty Slim.... :) (cue accusations of after timing and sheep like following!)

Just astute reading of the formbook. Nothing dark about either of them.

She has to be held up. That was always the problem with Spencer riding. Hayes kept it simple on her.

Hayes knows the horse better. It's really nonsensical changing the jockey with a group 1 on the line.
