Keeneland Phoenix Stakes

Putting up an O'Brien horse because the other one was a non? Soft credit. I wish you were my bank manager.

Don't see many who thought he would win. Doubt it was a case of just picking the O'Brien runner, tho EC can defend himself.

As for being your bank manager, You would have got no credit with me son

cheers Frankel

the truth is i fancied DW to start with but let the jockey booking influence me..which isn't like me at all...who knows.. maybe Joseph was right initially..i didn't think he was..time will tell.

Slim..you should never pooh pooh someone saying well done..there is little of it on here as it is.

no BJ for you tonight duckie:)

A very good renewal despite the ground.
Kool Kompany looked fabulous despite being so busy since June 1 and was the pick of the ring.
Full credit to the winner for taking a hefty enough bump yet not losing his stride to win bravely. APOB stated on track how brave his sire was and his stock have some of his quality.
John F Kennedy was very impressive in the maiden putting the race to bed in strides despite being colty and neighing in the parade ring. It shows how well named he is I suppose.
Maarek a big disappointment but the winner is some gutsy filly on that ground.
The main grandstand was leaking water at every point near the shop on the ground floor, top floor by the lift which was out of bounds and in plenty of more places. Time the demolition crew moved in methinks.

DW has come a long way since the maiden on Guineas weekend when I thought he was a rogue. Maybe they were too quick to go with the headgear.

Aside from the embarrassing leaks it was a shame the rain washed out the kids zone after they went to some effort with it.

If she has to be held up then Spencer was always likely to be where he was from that draw. She picked up ok but was far from an unlucky loser. Best horse won on the day.

I don't think anyone is saying she was an unlucky loser but he managed to not find a gap on a 6 runner race. Hayes would not have done that he'd have taken her to the outside and played the percentages.

Did you get a chance to get a look at John F Kennedy, edgt? If so, what did you make of him?
