Kevin Blake's Book: It can be Done

Seriously good read....a must for anyone who wants to make a profit betting. I know a few here have read it already....I read it this evening. Excellent insight to the mans thinking.

Just had the second edition of this delivered
Looking forward to getting stuck into it next week

Since he's written the book he's never off the air on ATR and now writes a tipping blog for Betfair. I still can't quite comprehend how someone who can kill Iriah racing wouldn't branch out to other sports. At the end of the day finding value is finding value.

Betfair is it not? Has had a fair few near misses - notably Gone Viral the day Cleary gave it an absolute shocker.

Is his 'angle' not that he just knows more about Irish racing than everybody else though, particularly moderate handicappers? Surely finding value is only finding value if you have a very deep knowledge of the markets you are playing in.

Maybe it's down to interest; fair play to yourself and others for looking to the WNBA and The Times Person Of The Year for a rick, but I just can't bring myself to put the time in.

I'd say he's not doing too badly with the gigs he has lined up in any case.

The logic can be understood by a child by the way; it doesn't mean you are going to make money though.

That sounds more than likely. I love watching racing, even the lower grade stuff, in an attempt to find horses to follow but I couldn't summon the enthusiasm to do this for another sport because baseball and NFL apart I'd be bored out of my trolley if I had to put the hours in.

Don't forget my Winter Olympics winners! Its fun figuring out new sports but I only do it to find ricks and make money.

No way am I reading a book on how to win punting especially if it's written by someone who doesn't bet NH.

If I am reading Bridle's post correctly he's basing his profit on getting 1k on with Ladbrokes at early prices :lol::lol:

I rarely bet heavily these days as the need to do so for punters isn't what it was before the exchanges were launched.

If all a punter did was bet singles for the same stake eventually he will lose. If 3 of his bets are responsible for 80% of his profit that just shows how close he must have come to losing.

The real value is don't be greedy...........and one day I might show you a way of making sure you win day after day........but then I'll have to kill you LOL
