Have learnt some sad news this morning that Krizon’s mother passed away last night. Sincere sympathies to Jon and all her friends and family. R.I.P

Thanks for letting us know, Galileo. I knew her Mum had not been well recently. Thoughts are with Jon right now.

She won't be, as she doesn't have access to this section any more but I will pass on the very kind remarks on here to her later today. Jon was only saying on Friday evening how very much she hoped her mother would go to sleep one evening and simply not wake up next morning, as she was starting to fail quite fast and Billy did just that last night. Jon's email to me was entitled "Mummy has left the building".

There's hope for me yet - as Kri said, she had sunk shedloads of vodka throughout her 90 years! It must have been a big relief that she went so peacefully. I'll raise a glass tonight - RIP a very amusing, charismatic lady.

Krizon has asked me via email to thank everyone for their kind wishes - here's what she asked (as always Kri can put it better than me!) :

Dim-doms, would you do me a huge favour, please? That is so very kind of whoever's put up condolences, that could you possibly say on my behalf that they're very, very much appreciated, that the Ancient Briton went very peacefully, rising 'only' 91, had many fantastically happy and adventurous years, and a big thanks to TH from me. If you don't mind, that would be very kind.

I am hoping to meet up with Krizon on Friday at the TBA get together at Ascot (assuming the meeting goes ahead) so I will buy her a drinky ( a large glass of overpriced wine or perhaps a large Latte :D ) from all her friends on here!

It was great to see Krizon on Friday at Ascot.

Despite her very sad news from the beginning of the week she was in great form. Unfortunately, the traffic was awful so she missed seeing Carnival Dream run but she did come in the winners enclosure with the connections of Cape Creko who came a very creditable 3rd @ 16/1 and the owners were thrilled to see her again.

I am hoping to meet up with her again soon as she is always such great company! :)

Please pass on my condolences, Kathy, and tell her I miss her on here.
Ditto to that. [/b][/quote]
Agreed to that too. :(
