Reluctant though one is to use a sponsor in a race title, it's the sole means of identifying this tremendous 3m Kempton Park contest (like the Eider, on 21st February).

There are 27 beasts among the entries and, once again, the five-day confirmations are eight days hence on Monday week.

Already bored of thread fines, this thread will instead contain exciting opportunities for forumites of a certain age to gain nominations for the much coveted - and increasingly keenly fought - title of "Talking Horses Coffin Dodger Of The Year."

Referring to this contest as "the Racing Post Chase"...

No need to apologise - it made me laugh and gave me an excuse for (yet another) theatrical rant.

When you consider what else Skelton has been running in the other regular Saturday 3m hcap chases You have to thin k he's had this race plotted up for some time.
