Someone on another forum is asking for advice on laminitis. Their Exmoor pony has just developed it for the first time, and I can't remember much about it other than that there were several ponies on our field that suffered from it; ours never did so I never read up on it. Could it be that the grass is particularly rich at the moment with all the rain we've had? The pony is in his box with just shavings on the floor and a change of diet etc. I'm hoping that this can be a on off thing as they're very upset. I said I'd ask around and instantly thought of how knowedgeable people are on this site. I've always thought that native breeds were meant to live on sparse vegetation which is why they're prone to it.
