Those who like to visit the Strip may be interested in news of some of the hotels. The Venetian is getting an extension that's twice the size of the new Wynn resort. It'll make the Venetian the world's biggest hotel - a title currently held by the MGM Grand.

And a ground survey has found that the Luxor and Excalibur are "unsafe structures". Apparently, the Luxor is sinking into the desert! Anyway, it's been announced that both buildings are to be pulled down in the near future. Shame about the pyramid. Can't say the same about the plastic castle.

$20 ? they were when I first went.
Average price now is about $150 - $200 for a decent middle strip hotel. Worth every penny
