Latest Industry Rumours On The Next James Bond

If they do what is being forecast and go back to the book without the fantasy cars etc then they'lll be much better films. Trouble is, will such a film gross over $350 million as Die Another Day did?
 
But he IS a 'cartoon' type of figure, Relkeel! The whole point of the books, and the films, is that Bond is a super-hero, but without sticky spider webs, a flying cape, or a Batmobile. Just swap those for some incredible bit of gadgetry, a dinner suit, and an Aston Martin, and it's the same story. (Except that his locations tend to be rather more exotic than Batman's.) It's just simple-minded escapism, like comic books, not 'Los Olvidados'!

They would cost a damn sight less to film though.
