I only use plain water in my washers, because I've found that screenwash clogs everything up, Might start putting a couple of drops of household disinfectant in though!

It was on the news the other morning.

I usually use screenwash anyway. It's very cheap in Asda or Lidl.

I only use commercial screenwashes, but I'd have thought by now that anyone would know that old, stagnant water was a health hazard, no matter where it's stored. Most of LD is related to aircon units, particularly old ones which haven't had their filters cleaned out properly. Walsy, put some white vinegar in the water - that'll kill bacteria which will be present, and also acts as a good de-greasing agent, without harming any surfaces.
