Love this festival

For anyone fancying an early bet

Current underfoot conditions are soft, heavy in places

Race I am most looking forward to is a split between the novice 2 milers and the Lexus

2 mile novice chase for me

It's been covered elsewhere, but Ttebbob is v exciting and interesting on soft ground. 7/1 looks big and an easy back to lay option if that's your thing. Almost certain to go much shorter IR

I confess I'm finding it hard to muster much enthusiasm for that pair whilst Min remains unexposed, Granger.

One day I will make it over to the old country for that Festival over Xmas....which reminds me of something.

Mouse Morris has one on a nice mark called Folsam Blue entered in Ireland in the Paddy Power.

4 horses declared for the G1 novice

Douvan, Sizing John, Ttebbob and Velvet Maker

If that doesn't excite you, find a new sport

I was thinking this the other day. I have loads of bets lined up for Boxing day - Conti, Cossack, T42, Ttebobb and Rashaan - but I had similar quantity on Arc and Champions Day - but I felt nowhere near the same excitement.

honestly I would've been fine if Kitten was in there as it was the only credible rival. Douvan beat Sizing John 10 times now, I don't think fences will see a different result between those 2. Ttebbob is a stayer and going hard in front will only set up the race for Douvan.. I wish I'm wrong..

Ref: Leopardstown on 27th December, Paddy Power Day. In a moment of madness I invited 16 people to come on the day my treat (long story) about a dozen will turn up. Now that I have sobered up, I am available as a dumping ground for all available unwanted low cost tickets - will pay of course or donate to your favourite charity.

Alan Fleming on Velvet Maker

He has to take on some horses that were better hurdlers than him, but he’s a natural over fences and we’re hopeful that he can improve over fences. He has loads of pace and I think he’ll be a proper two miler. We’re very happy with him. His schooling has been brilliant, his work has been exceptional
