They suspend a jockey for a stupid whip offence and they caution a very dangerous ride.. Irish stewards I should've known they were of no use..
 
Talking about Davy Russell it was common knowledge he stopped Windsor Park when finishing behind Nichols Canyon prior to Cheltenham....assuming he is fit and out to do the business today I can see no reason why he cant at least scare the sh1t out of his old rival...taken the odds if tgere is 50p for jim I think he will win

No More Heroes is very short today given he's up against a proven G1 stayer over hurdles and he throws in the odd bad one. The Punchestown G1 novice stayers hurdle from last year is the form to follow, not the spud race and Ive laid him today on the basis that there are enough reasons for him to get beat at 1.44.... I know plenty think he's the real deal but i'm happy to take him on at that price.

i doubt it..i'd rather just appreciate the battling qualities of the horses

way too much obsession with jockeys on here

if i watched races with that in mind..i'd pack it in
 
If Cooper had done here what he did to Heskin yesterday on Foxrock, Ruby would've cut his nose! He had the chance to do it but kept the door opened for NC as he was too afraid..
 
I wouldn't be a jockey basher and didn't have a bet in the race but my honest belief is that Cooper went on way too far out against a serious battler allowing him plenty of time to fight back.In general I think Coopers head is melted- he apologised on tv yesterday for a poor ride on Tombstone.
 
whats all the anti Cooper stuff about?..bloke can't do right from wrong..i've never seen such a witchhunt against a jock as i have against him over the last few days..

its like being in a betting shop in the 70's

best just enjoy the racing imo

foxrock never changed step..that "interference" is a nonsense..ffs its heavy ground..hosses get tired.

its like any excuse to knock the guy..sad pursuit imo

There has been a widespread anti Cooper sentiment in Irish race for the best part of a year-maybe longer.You have ignored the fact that he felt the need to apologise for a bad ride on Irish tv yesterday.
 
what i find sad Luke is that after watching a race like that..the only effort..not just you..in posting..is to knock the ride..when we saw a really great quality in the winner..a battling quality that makes this game worth travelling to see

but now all the effort is in knocking a rider

i just despair tbh if thats all we want do on a forum

if a ride is shite..i can understand it..buts its just any race with Cooper in that seems to attract negativity..even when he wins

its wrong imo singling a bloke out day in day out

My last word on the situation is that Cooper will be lucky to be retained by Gigginstown for Cheltenham in March.
 
Cooper did nothing wrong there, but he has had a few shockers recently. He's a top jock but his confidence is obviously low. He'll come back and Gigi will stick with him.

Nicholls Canyon is fast proving how tough he is. Don't forget he outbattled Faugheen when Willie blamed one gallop too many, and Identity Thief was all out and upsides there and he stuck his neck out and went on and won tidily I thought. Identity Thief has now put two back to back performances in and has clearly improved an awful lot between seasons, but NC is better on better ground and will be a genuine threat to Faugheen in the big one in March.
 
He is in prob the most high pressured job in racing

His boss said he had a tough few days live on Irish tv so a few outside of here have noticed something too.

He should of boxed ruby in when he had the chance

I dont think gigi will get rid of him that soon Luke but he wouldn't want to be involved in too many high profile incidents
