Why is that when I get back here everyone has had a tip for Lord Windermere. My barber, even the newsagent when he gave me my RP this morning. Did I miss something?:o
 
One of the lads I was with Friday tried to back First Lieutenant, non runner, basically may as well have thrown a dart at the RP and backed LW. I was sick, told my brother On His Own had no chance as well..... Never been so wrong about a race!
 
My brother called me and asked me to put a bet on Lord Windermere. I thought to myself, well I'll just have a couple of quid on too - I'm buggered if I'm going to listen to him crowing if it wins and I'm not on it. :D

Post race more money than expected comes into my Betfair account. Strange.

About 22:30 I suddenly remember that I backed him Ante-post before the Hennessy. :whistle:
 
Someone asked me to have 20 on The Giant Bolster with Kauto and Long Run at33/1 about a month before the Gold Cup 2 years ago.There was no sign of me being paid for the bet during Cheltenham week-meaning I it was a loser I wasn't getting paid.On the morning of the race I backed TGB at 16/1 to be placed just to cover myself.Coming second to Synchronised was a dream result for me.
Nothing more annoying then someone asking you to do a bet and disappearing.

Because everyone on here ultimately had a "tip" for every horse in the race (and maybe some backed just about all of them)

It was suggested to me too. By someone who would have trouble tipping what day it would be tomorrow hes so fcking thick

How many had Captain Christy won before the 1974 GC ? He was a novice though and would have won last Friday's race by 20 lengths !

Grey has the book but I think he won 3 before Gold Cup as had Dawn Run.
While Davy Lad was a second season chaser he had only 2 or 3 chase wins also.
L'Escargot something similar.
I must top up my research !
