Man Flu

Nice - hopr you feel better soon and say hi to your Ma, hope she gets well soon. She has my sympathy, having had pleurisy I reckon it's some of the worst pain I've ever been in.

It appears I've caught it now - only I have the strain commonly known as 'bloody irritating - but just a cold'. Well, I am female!

It's not especial fun when nursing sick horses mind!

Nah, it's just a bit of a cold.

Actually, the hardest part about nursing sick horses is when you're spending most of the night trudging up and down an uneven track uphill, in the dark, when the hip is crumbling away!!!

Feel your pain.

Back riding seriously for the first time in a (relatively long) while; nothing like riding out in gale-force winds wondering how much of your liver dissolved the night before... :(

My old man had a temperature of 100F yesterday and he proceeded to spend the whole day in bed apparently!

Ah yes, the joys of riding out (especially in shitey weather!) when still upside down! Luckily it doesn't tend to happen much any more!

I can't remember trackside - you're based in Ireland, are you? Riding out for a trainer?

If it so happens that you're in the Surrey area I know of a yard where riders would be very handy!

At "the cold center" [they are at last doing tests on it @ a university in Cardiff] and how to get rid of it... and guess what they come up with?????? our grannies and mothers were not that daft you know? the remedy is hot fruit squash and paracetamol...... honest the exact same thing that I was given when a kid, marvelous this science ain't it????? I bet it cost thousands £££ for them to ascertain this remedy and all the time we knew it.....
