Really enjoyed listening to that; still have copies of the Observer from when Eddie used to write for them, and remember him tipping Slim Pickings for the National. which was a surprise as Slim didn't seem to be a stayer. Whenever I drive past a bookies in Long Eaton I think of the time I stopped off on my way home to place a bet only to hear that Character Building was out of the National [he was a horse that we'd both decided was that years winner although, in retrospect he wouldn't have won]. Still remember how gutted I was to hear the news.
