Here is to a Wonderful Christmas and New Year for all concerned!

May there be many Happy Returns. :D

What are the plans for everyone these next 4 days?

As for me, we are picking up a family friend from the airport (they are from France) and taking them around the city on the Saturday and Sunday.

Monday, if there is no rain (fingers crossed) we will be having a big barbeque outside, swimming, presents, all the relatives over in the morning, and my brother/sister in law over for dinner.

Then Tuesday is Boxing Day, so we will be watching the fourth instalment of the Ashes.

So again Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, as I will probably not be online for the next 10 days.

The same to you, Grand Armee.

If you are in Melbourne at all over the next few weeks keep an eye out for my daughter, she is spending a few weeks there and she has already told me that the factor 50 is proving useful.

Merry Christmas all.

I'm not doing a great deal, the usual family stuff. First Christmas living with new boyfriend, whose family is all in Scotland whereas we're on the South Coast, so not really able to nip up there quickly! So it'll be round at my parents house for far too much food and drinking.

Not sure whether to go to Wincanton on Boxing Day yet.

Best wishes to everyone for the festive season.
Travel home to York tomorrow for a week.
The youngest of my two sisters will be going on holiday as she usually does on Boxing Day with her husband and daughter.
I'm reliably informed one of my other sisters kids will be getting one of those Wii's for Xmas so might see if I can nab a go on that as it looks like fun (gotta make sure it works!).
Weather permitting I'll go and watch the footy on Saturday and have a days racing at Wetherby on Wednesday.

Merry Christmas to you, too G A and everyone else here on the forum!

I am looking forward to the son and heir returning from the Smoke on Sat evening. Christmas Day sees the arrival of my Ma-in-Law, who has refused point blank to cook a large Christmas meal for my husband (still not divorced!!) and his new partner and her three children. She is a pretty fit and mentally alert 81 yo but has just completed a major house move after being widowed and naturally would like to be waited on for a change! Ma-in-Law's eldest son is with his wife's parents, so my sense of duty kicked in and she is thrilled to be spending the day with her only grandson.

She is staying the night here, which is a great relief to Giles and me as we were sure one of us would have had to drive her home and therefore be off the booze till the evening.

Other than that, it's business as usual and even busier, as obviously Rosie isn't working over Christmas and funnily enough, the stock don't get the Christmas idea.....

I'm flying into Gatwick Saturday morning, weather permitting and heading for Fontwell to see a highly significant 2m6f maiden hurdle.

I fly on to Dublin after the races where I will catch up with family and friends over the next few days and go to days 3 and 4 of Leopardstown. Is anyone else going?

Will Beef or Salmon fluke his way to yet another soft ground small field Grade 1 race?

After that it's a couple of days out of Dublin in beautiful Graiguenamanagh and then back to Brux. I must say I'm looking forward to it all. :)

I received this greeting from a friend in the USA today:

"May Joy and Laughter be with you all thru the Holidays.

In January you can go back to being a bitch."

It seems to fit the forum quite well, so have a good Christmas, forumites, and then get back to normal!

Have a Merry Christmas everyone!

I went down to Brendan's yard today with a few goodies for the staff etc, and took a Santa's hat for Brendan to get him into the Christmas mood.

I would post the "best" photo on here, with the face he pulled, but I think he would never get another racehorse sent to him to train - it's that scary! The better photo has been posted onto his website. :)

Brendan's son, Brendan Jnr. has a lovely story about one of Brendan's horses, that I will try and post up on the website later today. I took some photos of Little "B" on the horse in question.

Tomorrow it's more shopping and then drinkies with friends and then the weekend we have people over to stay for the Christmas break. I am hoping to sneak off to Kempton on Boxing Day.

New Year I have been invited down to Devon with OH and Barney, and if work allows, that's where I will be heading.

I hope everyone enjoys themselves, and please remember those people that will be spending this festive break alone. Not everyone looks forward to this time of the year. :(

I would like to wish everyone a wonderful Christmas and all the best for 2007!
I will be working on the 26th, 27th, 29th and the 30th, but other than that I hope to have a bit of the old Christmas spirit!

Im in luck - its my weekend off, so I get 2 and a bit days off!! ( allegedly - theres usually an owners get together here the sunday before - so I may yet be thwarted!)

Bro and his wife are in Canada with her parents, so our traditional ice cream and dog walk on Bournemouth beach will just be me and mum ( oh - and the dog!!)

Back to work as usual for Boxing day.

HAVE A GOOD ONE EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I hope everyone has a lovely Christmas :D

We should be spending Christmas Day in Milton Keynes with my parents however there may be an unfortunate change of plans as Tutankhamun, my car, is poorly. He is spending the night in a garage where he should be getting a new alternator in the morning as it died last night. If he does not, we'll be stuck here
