Some of the way the front covers of the main tabloids have been edited since his death (front covers because I don't read them!) indicates that they still think their is still some market value in portraying the man as a "whacko", and some elements of people in society (that are still concerned about his life and death) must be buying these papers because of that.
I can't help thinking a large part of the hysteria from people (with all views) is the fact he tryed to change his skin colour, and not any percieved acts of child molestation. It's quite possible black people can't understand why he tryed to abandon his origins, and white people do not like the idea of a black superstar that could infiltrate what is predominantly "their" pop music, and then turn in to one of them.
Not saying anyone who disagree's with him on here who may be white or black is like that, but if so, they should show the same contempt for people who get their genitalia cut off to become a woman, or vice versa, and the same for anyone else who deviates from "social norms" that society dictates. If you want to live in a society that dictates what you are as opposed to what you dictate yourself to be and want to be (within the law) then make that clear from the outset.
