Now that the Tizzard team are showing a bit of better form, I'm tempted to go with:
War Lord - 4.08 Plumpton 6/1 Ew.
I've followed this for a while and was disappointed, actually, that he didn't win at Wetherby two runs ago but I'm not sure the stable was really in good shape at the time.
I see this race as a step down in profile and I'm hoping that he'll give a better account of himself here. Ground could be a crucial factor today as yesterday's good ground has definitely gone and, come race time, we'll probably be looking at soft conditions. I'd say a lot of these would prefer less cut whereas my fellow will be inconvenienced by conditions.
So, ground's not a problem, the distance also and he's won over the course. What's more, at 6/1 he's even do-able Ew (enhanced 365 3 places @ 1/5th odds.)
