Good tidings to you.
It's been a quiet ol' time for NH leading up to the Christmas period and no doubt we're all feeling nervous and rusty.
Kempton's never very kind to me at this time of year and it's a swerve from me. I will have a tiny on Eldorado Allen ew in the big one but I never get near the winner of the race. I'll watch for the sport.
There are only three to mention for St Stephen's Day:
My blog in November reminds me why I should back this one today.
Hello Judge - Newcastle 2.35 11/1 Ew
My comment was:
Hello Judge is one I'm keeping a weather-eye on. And he ran very nicely. He's another lightly - raced sort (Only 6 runs under rules) and I fully expect the improvement to come. Has the right ownership ad trainer who know where they are with a chaser.
I see no reason not to back him to run well here.
Secondly, I just have to be doing:
Achille - Market Rasen 2.50 15/2 Ew
Go back to the Welsh National last December and we're looking at this one rated on 140 and keeping on into 4th. It must surely be noted that they could have got him into the Welsh Nash again. No, they've dropped him to Cl 3 off a mark of 125. I did take notice of him in running two outings ago and if he is stripping fit, the odds look inviting enough to have a look, don't you think?
Lastly, how can I forget Shan Blue falling when he had the Charlie Hall in his pocket last season?
If he's nicely freshened up by his break and can run anywhere near to his form, He should win the Meyrick (1.35 Wetherby), shouldn't he? He's a standing dish with me since his novice days and I love him
Anyway, whatever you do, enjoy.
