Most Disappointing Performer This Season..

Ran a huge race at Haydock. The other three defeats were a mix of fitness issues and being asked to try and do something different.

Still probably the best horse never to win a Grade 1, which I suppose is disappointing, or just unlucky.

How about the ex Swinbank trained bumper horse who won the Aintree bumper but now trained by Jonjo...Theatre something.

Theatrical Moment

Thought I saw this year's version at Uttoxeter last weekend. Hacked up at Market Rasen prevoiously - Cape Tribulation. Low key intro but looks a star in the making. Of course, he might get sold for a large sum and go to Jonjo. The owner isnt short of a bob though.

My Way De Solzen again today. From such a brilliant novice to borderline pig. I hope they give him a good checking over in the off season and find something that was bothering/hurting him as it is so disappointing to see these half hearted efforts.

Yep agree Gal. MWDS the most disappointing horse of the season for me. From possible gold cup contender to not placing in a world hurdle. Maybe he just doesn't enjoy his racing anymore similar to Black Jack

Several of the above, also Gwanako, and handicappers Patsy Hall and Butlers Cabin
I take it back about Gwanako! - has come good as the season has gone on

Butler's Cabin was my idea of the GN winner at the start of the season.

He was running a fine race in today's GN when AP put him at Becher's the 2nd time at an angle of c35 degrees and he tipped over in exactly the spot which catches out so many horses - where the land slopes away on the landing side both quite sharply to the inside and at a bit of a camber. Imo if you don't meet the fence straight your horse is very likely to tip up or crumple on landing...... It's a real shame for horse and jock tho both may have another chance next year
