Like i said i aint google or chat GPT and i thought the question was a shite one and vague that's my opinion and why i didnt respond. If i chose to have a laugh and a joke with another member completely not directed at the new member at all then im free to do so as a member of the forum.

When a new member starts and what looked to me have jumped to the conclusion that Chaumi was being an arsehole when he was actually trying to help. Then makes statements that someones watching worried he'll let a cat out the bag and saying he's studied the forum, the infamous beek thread ...what had all that tripe got to do with getting an answer to his question.

Thats not a decent way to intergrate yourself..As Ian has said Archipenko and Wanderers sky light havent had any trouble.
 
@senzeni I couldn't bothered to decipher your long message this many drinks in on a Sat night, if you want to know how many times a race has been run, who won and what the conditions were etc I can probably tell you if it's listed or above in class as I have nearly all of those tracked and cross referenced against each other in UK and IRE. But they can be found by a judicious internet search or going on the RP site

@Ian_Davies I just kinda assumed nearly all 'newbies' were just you

@Len Madeiros I've never known this place being anything other than cliquey as fk, it's like a pub where regulars have their own little groups and areas to sit.

The second question was straightforward. You and others then started a cliquey chat among yourselves, that did anything but answer the question.

I thought it was rude behaviour. Which is why I called it out.

I tell you what Len between this sort of thing and the likes of Jinny trying to privately moderate me im not that arsed with the forum to care.

At the end of the day i have some real problems in life currently including things like my old man being terminal, Mrs being ill amongst battling my own demons. I come on here for a bit of lighthearted distraction and have a laugh and a joke.

Never have problems anywhere else with people as everyone seems to just understand that these days I'm just daft as a brush and mean no harm but every now and then the easliy offended on here rear their heads.

I'll post no more, as I aint out to be upsetting anyone but neither can i keep my gob shut if i think someones talking shite.

I suspect that your sentiments about all this nonsense pretty much mirror my own - the only difference is I'm in the fortunate position of not having to battle what you face.

I didn’t understand your initial response, especially the stuff about rabbit holes. But I did cotton onto the point you made, after a third reading.

I pointed out how the discussion developed AFTER that. How the cliquey chat, answering nothing, and how I didn’t think that was the proper way to greet a new member.

That was my point.

Danny - I have an opinion. By no means do I think it’s always the right one. And if someone disagrees with me, I have no problem with people calling me out. Just keep it respectful and without personal insults

The points I made were both respectful and without personal insults. I would hope they would be taken in the spirit they were given.

And I’m sorry the horrible things you’re going through. I know what it’s like, truly. My coping mechanism? Keep chatting. Friends, family - total f$%^ing strangers on internet forums. Keep busy, keep occupied. It’s not for everyone, I know. But I, for one, would miss your input on all things racing.

You have many friends here, Danny - we don’t have to agree on everything. We all have opinions.

But that's alright - no one held a gun to my head.

But I draw the line at the very same people trying to tell me (or the fellas I get on alright with and have a laugh with) how we should behave.

You can "do one" on this, Len.

Danny has done literally nothing wrong, neither has Chaumi and neither of them, let alone me, are answerable to you or any other reportedly controlling individual who wants to start trying to tell people how to behave.

I'm not on a mission to grow this forum - I'm here because I enjoy reading and interacting with people like Slim, Danny, Chaumi, pawras and a few others.

If literally anyone doesn't like that - including the gaffer - I could not begin to care less.

It's a forum, not a life support machine - I don't need it in my life that badly.

I hope Danny hasn't been driven away, because he's half the reason I bother logging on here.

I expressed an opinion, nothing more. I’m glad we’ve had this debate, and I hold no grudges. You are all very good judges of the game - your insight is wonderful. And I have always thanked anyone who has put up a winner, whether I’ve been on or otherwise. You more than most, Ian.

But I will offer my opinion when I see behaviour on here that I don’t think is right. In my opinion.

I’m all for giving newbies a warm welcome, but rather than criticising each other I wonder why this particular newbie hasn’t drawn the fire. Obviously, someone with a simmering agenda below the seemingly innocuous and somewhat fatuous questions.

But what if it isn't unimportant?….in his first post, to …..In case there are certain people, who maybe reading this through gritted teeth, (because they know exactly why there is no smoke without fire) worrying that I'm going to let the cat(s) out of the bag..relax I'm not…in his third, which then carried on with a load of gobbledegook, hinted at conspiracy theories and sideways swipes at chaumi and Ian.

I hardly think this is the sort of newbie who we should throw our arms round and hug.

The best course of action would be to delete this thread and this whole section of the forum. It's a bag of shite.
