Not racing related......

Evening all.

Hope you don't mind these being posted here as they are clearly not anything to do with racing, but I thought they might be worth a laugh.

I did a 5K (3 mile) run with my mate round Hyde Park last Sunday. Decided to dress as a gorilla who had been to Hawaii, just for the hell of it. Overtook many people and finished in 43 minutes, feeling like I'd been in a sauna.

Obviously and possibly thankfully, I had no idea what I looked like, so when I saw these pics my mate's dad took, I thought I'd share. Now remember, if you see this recognisable face in future, please wave!! I don't bite.


Emerging from tent in the middle of Hyde Park dressed like this is always interesting (I'm the good looking one on the left!)

Just over a mile run and enough energy to leap around and behave like an idiot!

Difficult to see through all this fur, where's my mate? Oh, there you are!!

Closing in on the camera, someone is just about to get hit over the head with an inflatable bannana!!

The end of a sprint finish!!

Hope no-one minded me posting these, but I think we all need a little laugh now and then.

Oh yeah and if you see me on a racecourse dressed like this......I am hungover and in the wrong place!!

Excellent, Sue! I think we'll enter you in the mascot race at Plumpton this season - you'll be clearly fit from these exertions and probably go off favourite. Looks like you had another great day and, as Walsy says, well done to you and everyone else who managed to crawl over the finish line.
