…the gutsy old stayer is out for the season with a view to coming back next year. I know he’s getting on a bit but I’d love to see him do well in the Grand National at least once more before inevitable retirement.
 
The filly I bought at the sales last October is from the family of Numbersixvalverde so I have a bit of a soft spot for him but it's hard to see him coming back and being competitive now.
 
Regretably I'd have to agree..#6 is very unlikely to be seen at the very top level again..He owes owners/trainer/punters nothing though in all fairness.
 
Agreed on all counts (especially that he owes nothing), I know. It’s more a bit of wishful thinking on my part. Delighted to hear you snapped up a filly of the same line, rorydelargy. Wish you all the best with her.
