Nyrche, from Alan Kings yard, makes his return to the track in the two-mile chase at Sandown this afternoon.

This brave and spectacular jumper has been off for 525 days (December 2006, I think!).

There were doubts that he would ever race again, even fears that he wouldn't live (sorry, I don't know what the actual problem was, half a story again Phillips!!!).

So good luck today, m'boy, a safe return, please.

Sadly, tailed off and broke a blood vessel. Shame, I know they held him in high regard and considered him a horse with a lot of scope.
