 AN
Hi back now eyes are bigger than belly nah I don't think so.......
JON do this and only this... I am sure they trade under MCAFEE but we will soon find out or you will as I don't run it on mine… I have a Russian programme guarding my p/c....
The reason I say or ask who they traded under its like NORTON' S who are actually SYMANTEC or similar off the top of my head.....
...........................................................................................................
O/K lets go… you open your
MY COMPUTER icon on your desktop by left clicking it twice, IT WILL OPEN UP you then point your mouse arrow at
HARD DISK and do the same left click twice it then opens you will see a list of
FOLDERS scroll up and down and see if you can see a folder called
MCAFEE if you can you must
DELETE this folder... by first left clicking it then right clicking it and a drop down then appears click
DELETE THIS FOLDER CALLED MCAFEE don’t do nothing else other than closing the open pages down and reboot your P/C ...
if not no problem! go to the WINDOWS FOLDER and open this by left clicking twice you will then see a lot of programmes that you have in your
WINDOWS folder look/scroll up and down for the
MCAFEE FOLDER there and DELETE it as I told you how!! above…by highlighting left click on it then right click until it opens as a scroll down then DELETE THE MCAFEE FOLDER DON’T DO ANYTHING ELSE WILL YOU.....
If YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS ASK ME PLEASE...............
I would advise you to do a further scandisk as you have already done by GOING INTO TOOLS BUT ONLY PUTTING A TICK IN THE TOP BOX NOT THE BOTTOM ONE*** it will go through the hard disk far quicker than before and I hope all your problems will be behind you??? Oh one other thing if your keeping NORTON’S take off the FIREWALL as you don’t need it with X/P
GOOD LUCK JON
its easy but aint all things if you know how to do them???
May be you ought to just practise the start at first then when you feel confident enough just do it.............
If its not where I have said its not on your p/c but maybe in the registry which is another ball game........and may have been taken off during your RESTORE....
***X/P go into the ICON... MY COMPUTER and LEFT click you will see your hard drive among others your c-d writer, scanner, floppy, etc etc right click on this and scroll down go to properties LEFT CLICK and it opens, then choose TOOLS at top of page open it and tick the TOP BOX ONLY then reboot the machine by closing all that you have just opened by x them out via top right x on each page may take ages depends on the condition of your HARD DISK but when it finishes it will go to your normal desktop feature page....
